What’s chiropractic therapy?
Chiropractic works fundamentally by stimulating the nervous system. When there are restrictions in the spine, the nerves cannot function optimally and disease becomes likely. Spinal manipulation releases these restrictions, stimulates the nervous system and allows muscles, internal organs and the immune system to function optimally, which encourages the body to heal itself.
What will a chiropractic exam be like?
Dr. Gawley will begin with a physical exam, neurologic exam and gait analysis. Next, motion palpation along the spine, pelvis and limbs will reveal which joints need to be adjusted. After adjustments are completed, most pets are very relaxed, less painful and moving more freely.
