Your First Visit
A pet's first visit to the vet can seem a bit daunting, so we've put together a list of info and resources to help you prepare.
We treat dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and we treat each and every one with care, respect, and the expert, thoughtful attention they deserve. If you’re new to the Louisville area, a first-time pet owner, or simply looking for the right veterinarian for you and your pet, we’d love to invite you to stop in one day to meet us in person and see for yourself how we do things around here.
At your first appointment, we will gather information about your pet’s background, health, diet, and training. We can also address any questions or concerns you might have.
Your veterinarian will examine your pet from nose-to-tail, looking for things like heart murmurs, ear infections, and/or parasites. Your vet can also provide pet-proofing tips, training assistance, and parasite protection recommendations.

“The vets are awesome! They all take time to discuss our dogs' health and answer any questions we have. I have never felt rushed and they seem to genuinely care about the animals. All of the administrative staff and vet assistants are great too!”
