Your First Visit
A pet's first visit to the vet can seem a bit daunting, so we've put together a list of info and resources to help you prepare.
We treat dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and we treat each and every one with care, respect, and the expert, thoughtful attention they deserve. If you’re new to the Louisville area, a first-time pet owner, or simply looking for the right veterinarian for you and your pet, we’d love to invite you to stop in one day to meet us in person and see for yourself how we do things around here.
At your first appointment, we will gather information about your pet’s background, health, diet, and training. We can also address any questions or concerns you might have.
Your veterinarian will examine your pet from nose-to-tail, looking for things like heart murmurs, ear infections, and/or parasites. Your vet can also provide pet-proofing tips, training assistance, and parasite protection recommendations.

Arrive early to fill out paperwork
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your pet's appointment. If you have not filled out our patient forms yet, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes ahead of your appointment.
“They are absolutely AMAZING! We recently lost our dog, who was a patient there for 4 1/2 years. We have lived in a few states over the 10 1/2 years that we had our dog and Lyndon is by far the best vet we had! I will always recommend them! If you love your pet half as much as we loved Reagan, take them to Lyndon!”
